I have been blessed - and often challenged - by having Creativity as a partner in my life's journey, taking me places that I never dreamed of going.

College was one of Creativity's vehicles for teaching me its disciplines.  Specializing in interior design and drafting, I loved the art and magic of making two-dimensional lines of drafting come to life in three dimensional drawings of perspective and colour.  Watching these drawings sell dreams and make ideas come to life has been pure fun.

Thanks to Creativity's gifts, my paintings are displayed in people's homes, reminding them daily of significant buildings in their lives.

Creativity has also placed me on theatre's stage to bring theatre sets to life.  Common building materials are transformed with paint to look like aged brick, expensive marble or exotic woods.

Most recently I have followed Creativity's winding road to the world of illustrating children's books, leaving the straight lines of architectural design, and exploring an imaginative place, full of colour, whimsy, and delight.  Jan has trusted me with putting a face to his charming characters, and I have enjoyed the adventure along the way.

I hope that you share in the delight of this new path to which Jan and I have been led.

It is a special place!

Deborah often displays her artwork at the UpTown Gallery in Waterloo.
